If you’re struggling with depression or anxiety, it can feel like you’re the only one experiencing this confusing and overwhelming feeling. But we all need help sometimes.

On July 7, 2022, our very own Ross Wilson joined Kevin Brady from Advica Health to discuss topics related to mental health, the future of mental health, how Ross joined PsyMood, and Ross’s own recommendations on how to maintain a good balance of physical and mental health.

Ross spoke about his struggles with mental health he had faced after losing his mother to cancer and how that led him on a mission to help others. This inspired Ross to make mental health services more accessible to people who may not have easy access. Ross’s determination to make mental health services accessible led him to PsyMood.

When Ross began working in the mental health field, he realized that many services are only available in English, this meant that a large portion of the population is not getting equal access to services. Ross then joined PsyMood where he shares his value that everyone deserves the same rights and supports to mental health services whether you are Canadian or not.

Ross spoke about the future of mental health moving towards being less stigmatized and regarded as a standard of support. Ross hopes that mental health solutions and services are more normalized.
