At PsyMood, we are on a mission to connect people with mental health support based on their language and cultural background.

Seeking out help and therapy to improve mental well-being is a personal endeavour.

Everyone has a different journey, and often time that journey is impacted by their unique circumstances and background. PsyMood wants you to embrace that uniqueness, encouraging you to seek help when needed.
In December, PsyMood launched the platform to connect therapists with you, through your cultural background and first language.
In celebration of this achievement, we held an online session where specialists explain how they think cultural awareness in therapy is beneficial to clients who are seeking help.

Featured Specialists:

Nadia Prando is an adolescent, adult, family and couple’s therapist.

Ms. Prando completed her M.A. in clinical Psychology at the Pontifical University Catholic of São Paulo in Brazil. She has extensive training in parent-infant attachment and pregnancy related mental health and well-being.

She has worked in hospital settings, for non-governmental organizations and in private practice.

Hader Farhan has an undergraduate degree in the field of Early Childhood Studies with an emphasis on children with disabilities from Ryerson University.

She was able to work with families and early childhood educators in order to come together to best support children living with Autism. She is a registered Occupational Therapist with a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queens University.

Mike Stroh is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

He works with people struggling with addictions, anxiety and depression. He works with couples and incorporates mindfulness in his sessions.

Mike is also a founder of a consultancy business specializing in k-12 education and workplace mental health.

Marina Lohmann is a consultant at PsyMood and the host of this PsyMood Session.

She holds a BA in Psychology in Brazil, an MBA in Strategic Human Resource Management, a coaching certificate, and finished her Masters in Industrial Relations at Universite de Montreal.
